Often cheaper, and higher volume per plan
Web3Forms' paid tiers carry higher submission ceilings than ours at a comparable or lower price, and their entry paid plan can come in under FormHeron's $7. If cost per submission is the deciding factor, they win — we would rather say that than pretend otherwise.
File uploads and autoresponders
Both are included on their Pro plan. FormHeron supports neither, at any price.
More native integrations
Google Sheets, Notion, Slack, Discord and Telegram connect natively, with up to 10 active integrations on Pro. FormHeron reaches those tools through a webhook into Zapier, Make or n8n instead.
Longer track record
Web3Forms has been running for years with a large published template and platform library. FormHeron launched in 2026 and is run by one person.
Where FormHeron is the better choice
A lead pipeline, not a submission list
This is the actual difference between the two products. Every lead moves New → Contacted → Won → Lost, with tags, notes and full-text search across every submitted field. Web3Forms delivers submissions; FormHeron is where you work them.
EU storage, published
Leads are stored in Amsterdam and the service is operated from India — both stated plainly in our sub-processor list rather than left to be discovered. If a client's contract requires EU processing, that is an answer you can forward.
No raw IP addresses, ever
Rate limiting uses a salted HMAC of the visitor's IP rather than the address itself. A database breach exposes no visitor IPs.
Spam never spends your quota
Submissions caught as spam are stored for review but never counted against your monthly limit and never emailed. A bot flood costs you nothing.
Signed webhooks with a delivery log
Every payload is signed HMAC-SHA256(secret, timestamp + "." + body), retried at 1m / 5m / 25m on failure, then dead-lettered with an email to you. Every attempt is logged with its status code.
Moving from Web3Forms
- 1Create a FormHeron form and copy its endpoint URL.
- 2Replace the api.web3forms.com/submit action with your FormHeron endpoint, and delete the access_key hidden input — FormHeron identifies the form from the URL instead.
- 3Rename your botcheck honeypot input to _hp and keep it positioned off-screen, as shown in the docs.
- 4Submit once to confirm the lead lands, then leave the Web3Forms form live until you have verified a full cycle.
